Opposite the central square of Katakolo, on the main street, in the Latsis building, the Museum of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments and Games operates (under the auspices of the Municipality of Pyrgos) where 42 reconstructed musical instruments of the ancient Greeks and a number of ancient Greek games accompanied by detailed descriptions and diagrams after research, study and construction by Kostas Kotsanas. The exhibits are accompanied by rich audiovisual material (in Greek and English) while many of them are interactive. It is the most complete and valid museum of its kind in the world.
